Poppleton & Appleby

From offices in Coventry, Birmingham and Wolverhampton, Poppleton & Appleby is one of the UK’s longest-established business recovery and insolvency firms. For more than 100 years, our firm has been providing expert advice to support businesses and individuals through financial challenges. We’re an independent practice with a hands-on approach, in which our partners work directly with clients and their other professional advisers and take ownership of each assignment. All our partners began their careers as accountants and general business advisers before becoming insolvency experts, which gives us a unique insight into what works and what doesn’t.

What makes us different

Often we can create a breathing space in which to put together a recovery strategy, so that a business can be preserved through restructuring and refinancing. Our clients also benefit from access to our sister firm, business finance specialists Ludgate Finance. This enables us to fund newco’s or restarts through pre-packs where appropriate. We are the first choice for many accountancy and legal practices in the region and our credibility and expertise is recognised by many national and independent lenders. We value our strong, long-term relationships with our work introducers and will invest time with their clients, no matter how complicated or time critical the problem may be.
